Holy Trinity & St. Mary, Queen of Heaven
Holy Trinity in West Union and St. Mary, Queen of Heaven in Peebles are the two Roman Catholic parishes serving all of Adams County, under the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
The Roman Catholic Faith is the single largest religious denomination in this country. Sadly, "fallen away" or non-practicing Catholics would collectively comprise the second largest "denomination."
People no doubt stray from our Church for various reasons, and there are many misconceptions about how we worship, what we teach and why.
Those who find Catholicism irrelevant, unnecessary, overly restrictive, or antiquated are legion, but also misinformed.
The Church wants people to be happy and to flourish. She also wants us to be saints -- all of us. That is her mission: the salvation of souls. That is why she was founded by Jesus Christ, second Person of the Holy Trinity.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, which we celebrate every day, was how Jesus commanded us to worship, when He instituted the Mass during the Last Supper. Simply put, the Mass is at the center of everything we do and believe, and it is the most perfect form of worship this side of Heaven, because in it we worship God the Father with and through His Son.
If you would like to know more about the Faith, or think you might want to become Catholic, or have fallen away from the practice of the Faith and are considering a return, please contact our pastor, Fr. Craig at firstname.lastname@example.org.
